Testimonials

One of my greatest professional joys is witnessing students evolve during their college years and beyond.  From a coaching standpoint, I can often foresee their future potential and predict potential obstacles. While students may see chaos, I recognize opportunities for growth. Here are some stories from students and clients who thrived with holistic academic support, helping them accomplish their multifaceted goals.

Navigating College Transfers with Confidence

Our daughter is transferring to UNC Wilmington from a community college, and we hired Chris to guide us through a process that can be confusing and potentially costly.

Transfer requirements can be daunting, and students often have to retake classes when credits don’t transfer properly. Chris is helping us avoid those costly mistakes.

I can’t imagine navigating this process now without him. His expertise and guidance have made this transition worry-free for our family.

Hiring Chris was the smartest decision we made for our daughter during this transition. - Glenn Melvin

From Probation to Academic Success

I have worked with Christopher for three years. From being an advocate for my studies to helping me decide my major and career path. He guided me from Academic Probation to the Dean's List while in Respiratory Therapy school. Chris was, and remains, someone who I can rely on to help me make professional and social connections. His background in religious studies ultimately led me to joining my current church, which has been a perfect fit for me. He predicted this outcome and many others. He is not only an amazing academic coach but a trusted friend. - Nisseem Seilman

Turning Uncertainty into Achievement

I worked with Christopher for four years, beginning with my Freshman Year at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, and he continued to support me throughout my entire undergraduate career. At the time we first met I had recently moved to the United States from France and I didn't have the faintest idea of what to study or how to get there. Chris not only took time to get to know me on a personal level, but to thoughtfully shape my academic path around my strengths and perspectives as a dual national.

He recommended a series of assessments to narrow down the academic paths that best aligned with my aptitudes and ambitions. The results were incredibly helpful and provided me with data-backed guidance at a time when my own sense of direction was unclear.

Chris truly takes an individualized approach to his support. I am now two years out of college and working in a field I would have never considered without his mentorship, expertise, and steady support. I cannot recommend him highly enough. - Virginia L.M. Guenno

Anonymous Survey Feedback I

He is very responsive, makes things happen by being flexible and amending his personal time to help me out.  He has guided and tried to help me with an issue during my Creative Writing class which was unrelieved by the department and he was still supportive of me. Chris is as sharp as a tack when It comes to classes NEEDED and classes taken, any discrepancy found was addressed immediately in order to keep forward momentum. No time was wasted.

Chris was very helpful with informing me on which classes I need to take at CFCC and UNCW. Very knowledgeable of CFCC courses as well. He not only helped me with choosing my courses and giving me options for different minors, but was also very attentive to me and intentionally sought out to understand my well being on campus.

He helped me with an issue I was having with my transcript and transfer credits from my last school, so in thankful for that. Also. He's just really nice to talk to about my life, hobbies, and interests.

Chris helped me decide on a new major, I was originally in nursing but I have been struggling with that decision and he helped me figure it all out. This really helped my stress levels and to make me feel heard. He truly listened to where I was coming from and understood me with no judgement and helped me.

He was kind and understanding about my mental health and how that connected to my faith and as well as me struggling in school for a minute. He led me to see the best of what major I should choose like minoring in Art and majoring in Education, a Studio Arts degree with teaching license later on, or just simply a Studio Arts major! Thank you!

Chris is single handedly the best academic support person I've ever interacted with. It is so abundantly clear that he cares about everyone,  he remembers the details of things going on in your life, he takes all the different aspects of your life into consideration when giving the most amazing advice for your future at UNCW, and he explains things thoroughly.  Overall,Chris is a 10000000000/10  and I have so greatly appreciated and have been so very grateful to have him on my side.

Christopher Moreland is the best help I could have asked for going into college as a scared freshman with no idea how anything works. He answers emails within minutes and is ALWAYS willing to help. He truly cares about my progress and makes me feel very comfortable.

Chris far exceeded my expectations. Ever since our first meeting I have been excited to attend all of my appointments.  This is due to the safe, supportive, and overall inviting space he creates. He is very kind and I love to catch up with him every time we meet! He makes me feel like he is truly interested in the journey I plan to take here at UNCW and beyond!
